Close Up unveils new Patriotic pack and promo as Nigeria turns 53
Nigeria’s number one toothpaste
brand, Close Up, in celebration of the country’s 53rd Independence
Anniversary, has unveiled a new pack with the Nigerian flag, while also
launching its new promo tagged ‘3 Maps,
3x Fresher Breathe’. The unveiling, which held at the Ikeja City Mall amidst
dancing and jubilation as part of activities for the celebration of the
country’s Independence, was a welcomed development.
Speaking at the event, Oiza
Gyang, Category Manager, Oral Catergory, Unilever Nigeria, said that Close Up
will reward Nigerians with N1Million each between the months of October and
December with its new ‘3 Maps, 3x Fresher
Breathe’ promo.
She said, “Through a series of
raffle draws, we will be giving away Millions of Naira to lucky customers till
the end of the year. We want to appreciate Nigerians and thank them for all
their support, and also to wish Nigeria a Happy 53rd Independence.”
Providing mechanics of the promo,
Dexter Adeola, Brand Manager, Close Up toothpaste, said that to participate in
the promo, customers need to buy the new promo packs which carry different
parts of the Nigerian map and then match three packs with the correct parts of
the map to make up one complete map.
He further added, “When a
customer gets the complete Nigerian map, he or she should send the Close Up
packs to any Unilever redemption centre, and they stand a chance to be one of
the millionaires to be unveiled every month.”
While explaining the reason for
the new pack, Tola Elatuyi, Head, Trade Category Management, said that the launch
of the new pack was to show how dedicated Close Up is to the country, its
vibrant culture and its people.
“We are happy to be celebrating
with Nigeria on its 53rd Anniversary. We do not believe in just
saying how much Close Up Loves Nigeria, but we also want to show it and this is
just one of the numerous ways our actions will speak louder than our words,”
Elatuyi stated.
The Close Up range of toothpaste comes in both red gel and green gel and cuts across different variants such as Red Hot, Close up Menthol Chill, and Herbal, giving long lasting fresh breath. The brand recently rewarded over 1000 traders across the country with Brand new Hyundai i10 cars and other mouth-watering prizes such as Deep freezers, Generators, Purifiers, DVD Players, Blenders, amongst others.
