Mouka Limited makes mattress donations to Lagos NYSC Camp

Mouka Limited, leading foam and bedding manufacturing company in Nigeria, has donated mattresses for the next batch of corps members who are expected at the camp from July 2013, during the company’s management visit to the Lagos National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Camp.

 

Speaking at the event the Managing Director, Mouka Limited, Mrs. Peju Adebajo said the donation is an opportunity for Mouka to contribute to youth and education development, and also to the national development of the country. She said in time past Mouka Limited had benefited from NYSC, while NYSC has also benefitted from Mouka’s generosity.

According to Adebajo “Mouka is dedicated to supporting the NYSC in the little way we can, within our limited available resources. We shall continue to identify with the scheme as we see both institutions as partners in progress.”

Adebajo further explained that NYSC is a platform where graduates are given the opportunity to learn, discover, have fun and make lifelong friendship. She stated that graduates should make the most of the opportunity the service year by discovering what they are good at, understand their strengths, weaknesses and also meet people from different cultures.

Responding on behalf of the organization, the Lagos State coordinator of NYSC, Mrs. Adenike Adeyemi expressed the gratitude of the organization to Mouka Limited for identifying with it and promised to judiciously use the mattresses. She called on other corporate organizations to emulate Mouka’s laudable effort by supporting NYSC in delivering on its mandate, noting that government alone cannot meet the needs of the organization.  In her words, “we want to use this opportunity to commend Mouka Limited for this kind gesture, as this will go a long way in meeting the needs of the corps members when in camp. I will also use the medium to call on other corporate organizations to emulate Mouka’s kind gesture.”
